Wordzic, the musical word of the day
Every day, Wordzic asks you to find a musical word from an excerpt. Guess a word, then use the colours, letter groups, and hints to close in on the answer.
- Listen to the excerptListen closely to the excerpt before you play: it frames the word you need to find. Return to it between guesses, as its mood can guide your next ideas.
- Read the coloursGreen marks a letter in the right place, yellow one found elsewhere, and dark one that is absent. Linked green letters form a group in the correct order.
- Use the hintsNew hints become available as you make guesses. Check them when the colours are not enough: they restart your thinking without immediately revealing the whole answer.
How to play
Listen to the excerpt, then propose a musical word. The colours and linked groups narrow the answer, while hints unlock after your 2nd, 4th and 6th valid guesses.

The maker behind Wordzic
★Game makerI am Julien, and I make music games. Wordzic came out of a simple observation: everybody has a soundtrack in their head, and almost nobody gets to play with it.
I design, code and publish these games myself, one word at a time. If a word feels far-fetched, if a hint reads badly, tell me — I read everything, and it often lands in the next morning's grid.
